Reese's Spreads
I recently was selected to test out the new Reese's Spreads thanks to Influenster. It is designed to be a spreadable chocolatey dip (think Nutella) but with peanut butter. I love chocolate but unfortunately do not love peanut butter. I like the idea of peanut butter but really do not like the taste or smell of it. However, my husband is a big peanut butter fan so he got to be the family taste-tester for this freebie, and he loved it! He tried it with pretzels and on sliced banana and loved it both ways. He said it was so good he could have eaten the entire container in one sitting! So I'll trust him on this one and say that if you're a Reese's fan, try the new Reese's Spreads :) Or if you're like me and can't stand peanut butter, maybe you should buy some for a friend ;-)
*I received this product for free, however all opinions are my own (or in this case, my husband's!).

Snow Day!
Yesterday was our first big snow of the year. We woke up Saturday morning to about 8" of fresh snow that came through overnight. I don't like winter, and I don't like the snow. But, if it's going to snow, I would definitely prefer it on a weekend where I don't have anywhere to go. We slept in a little (as much as you can sleep in with a 13 month old!) which was nice. After breakfast, my husband went out to shovel while R and I hung out. Then we took R out to play in the snow for the first time! Getting him all bundled up was certainly an ordeal. With his snowsuit on he couldn't really sit up so he basically just layed on the floor looking up at us. We put him on his sled and took him outside and he immediately loved it! He's a complete daredevil and loved going over bumps and sliding downhill! We took him up and down the block and around a few streets in our development, and he laughed and smiled the whole time. Seeing him have fun in the snow made it a little easier to deal with. Unfortunately it sounds like there's an even bigger storm coming through Monday into Tuesday...not sure we're ready for more, but I guess winter is making up for the lack of snow so far. Times like this I wish we lived somewhere like San Diego!

We've Got a Walker!
Last weekend R officially took a few steps on his own. Since then, he has been walking more and more! It is so cute how proud he is of himself when he gets to where he wants to go! My husband and I were lucky enough to both be home to see him, too. My husband is very excited for R to be walking, but I'm a bit nervous. He's fast enough while crawling, I can't imagine how fast he's going to be when he starts walking and running! In the meantime, I'm enjoying watching him figure out his balance and learn how this whole walking thing works.

My New Nephew!
I am so excited to be an aunt again! My brother's wife just had a beautiful baby boy last evening, and we were lucky enough to go meet him today! B is perfect and slept almost the whole time we were visiting. R was very excited to meet his new cousin (or at least I can pretend he was!) and he wore a new shirt that said "My Cousin Rocks"! He didn't really have any reaction to the baby. He's really too young to care much, but I am so excited for them to grow up together. My only first cousin is 8 years younger than me so while we have a good relationship, we were never really "friends". I think that with R and B being only a year apart and both being boys, they will have a lot of fun together! And probably get into a lot of trouble together, if they are anything like my brother ha!
Meeting B and seeing how tiny he is made me think to R being that small...it's hard to imagine he was ever that tiny! It is so crazy how much of a change one year is in baby terms!
Congrats again to my brother and sister-in-law! Thanks for making me an Aunt again!!!
